What We Do
At JJ Duffy we have the capabilities & resources to complete demolition projects from small houses to large complex structural alteration works.
JJ Duffy Demolition approaches each project with precision and a detailed plan. Each project is handled by our team of experts, drawing on backgrounds in environmental remediation, engineering, dismantling, traditional demolition, material handling and the latest technology to guarantee completion safely, on time and on budget.
We can provide a full demolition and clearance service, for any type of site from small residential houses and garages, industrial factories, educational facilities, commercial properties and petrochemical sites both in the public and private sectors. We provide a waste management plan for all jobs and recycle as much material as possible.
JJ Duffy Demolition are fully trained, insured, qualified and experienced asbestos removal experts.
When dealing with asbestos, our team will set up an exclusion zone around the contaminated area so that the public can’t enter the work area. We then get suited and booted, put on our special grade dusk masks and remove all asbestos slates, sheets, cement, floor tiles.
Given the nature of demolition, a detailed risk assessment is required for any works that structural items are to be removed, to avoid unintentional collapse of the building. Where temporary works designs are required, JJ Duffy will engage a specialist design team that will create solutions for what are often complex and challenging situations.
We have experience in providing and installing temporary works for:
- Adjoining properties
- Façades
- Basement walls
- Remaining structures
- Shoring systems
- Site hoarding, perimeter fencing
JJ Duffy Demolition have two crushers for hire nationwide. Our xA400 Terex Pegson is a 45 tonne mobile crusher, capable of crushing over 1000 tonne per day depending on the material.
We also have a 30 tonne Terex Pegson metrotrak, capable of crushing over 750 tonnes a day depending on the material. Both crushers have a magnet which separates any steel that might be through concrete material being crushed. Both are low in vibration and noise and water suppression is used to reduce dust.
JJ Duffy Demolition have a crusher permit which is required to complete any quantity of crushing in the Dublin City council region.
At JJ Duffy, we are aware that bulk excavations require attention to detail. We will always meet tight construction deadlines whilst maintaining top quality work and service.
We have the experience and plant capable of completing bulk excavations of varying sizes. Whether moving rock or rock/clay mixtures, we can excavate, haul and dispose of all materials.
