Acting as PSCS, JJ Duffy were required to complete a full site clearance and demolition of all the warehouses and buildings at the former Smurfit Kappa Warehouse’s on Tonlegee Road in Dublin 5. The first step item was to install hoarding and access gates to secure the site throughout the course of the works.
Removal of Asbestos Roofing was then completed, on the entirety of the warehouses of the building. Approx. 3000m2 of asbestos cement sheeting was removed. The removal of the steel and concrete structures of the main buildings and the removal of all concrete slabs, foundations and services was then completed.
All concrete was then crushed on site, and hauled offsite for disposal by ourselves at certified tipping locations.
Given the location of the project and its proximity to residential properties and a Church at the front of the site, we installed dust, noise and vibration monitoring, to ensure that all works were being completed within the set limits outlined in our contract.
